Full-time hospitalist needed for an established Hospitalist program in eastern Washington state.

Hospitalist get lots of block time off working 10-12 shifts per month. Will have input on working out the schedule with the other hospitalists.

Handle a very reasonable 8-12 patient census during the day and Advance Practice Provider (APP) covers the 14 hours in the evening and overnight. Would need to supervise or assist the APP if needed. Usually by phone or come in if an issue the APP can't handle.

Open ICU. Provide care for medical and surgical patients including hemodynamic monitoring and treatment and ventilator management. Advanced practice providers (APP) both on the service and as anesthetists. The CRNA provides additional support for lines and intubation and advance pain management options. There are specialists for surgery and cardiology services as well.

Will have approximately 12000 ED visits per year and admit 10-12% of these patients. Will provide primary admissions for on-call surgeons (who cover 3 hospitals), as well as for orthopedic patients. These providers act as consultants for these admissions.

Will perform treadmill oversight for some inpatient cardiac admissions. Will attend cardiopulmonary rehab patients and a few skilled nursing facility patients as well.
