We are currently seeking a Safety Coordinator to help assist the On-Site Safety Manager with the implementation of and oversee the company s safety programs and policies among 14 different sites. As a Safety Coordinator, this individual would be responsible for all aspects of site safety including monitoring and promoting a safe and secure work environment, conduct safety meetings, trainings and inspections. Also, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for working and assisting with the project team to plan and create safety related documents and conduct investigations of safety incidents. This individual must be able to establish a good relationship with the team to address issues and take correct actions.
This role will require that you help accelerate and manage existing processes and have a history of successfully working with safety programs. You should have strong computer skills and must be open to travel 25-50% of the time.
-High School diploma or equivalent -Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator / Safety Trainer position -Ability to interface effectively with customers and Project Team members -OSHA Course 511, 30 hour instruction in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry (will be provided as required) -Ability to visit and/or be assigned to work sites on a short or long term basis -Strong oral and written communication skills -Must be able to travel 25-50% of the time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: -2+ years experience within the Health & Safety function -2+ years experience providing training in the Health & Safety function -Previous experience working in a multi-site environment -OSHA Course 501, Trainer course in Occupational Safety & Health Standards for General Industry
